Kamp for Kids - Summer 2022 Information

Kamp for Kids brings together children with and without disabilities in a unique integrated model that promotes understanding and growth. This summer’s Kamp experience will be offered both in-person and virtually and includes art, health, nature and other inclusive fun activities. As a fully inclusive summer camp, it is our mission to serve a population of both children with disabilities and their typically developing peers. Please note we are operating at a limited capacity this summer.

Session 1: July 11 - July 22  

Session 2: July 25 - August 5

Session 3: August 8 - August 19

National Nurses Week is celebrated from May 6 to May 12, 2024, and each year throughout May. This year, the American Nurses Association has selected the theme "Nurses Make the Difference" to encourage nurses, other healthcare professionals, employers, community leaders, and the public to recognize and promote the vast contributions and positive impact of nurses.

We recently spoke with Tiffany Rufino, the Youth Mental Health Coalition Manager at the Public Health Institute of Western Mass, and a member of BHN’s Board of Directors to gain insights on addressing mental health topics. “Throughout my life, I’ve always worked in community and youth development,” Tiffany says. “I didn’t have a huge background in public health, but I did have experience working and developing youth programs and in high schools with youth in Springfield.”
