CARF Accreditation

CARF logo

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. (BHN) is proud to be accredited by CARF, which reflects our commitment to continuous improvement of the quality, value, and outcomes of the services we provide.

CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body that completes a thorough on-site survey of many BHN programs every three years. The survey reviews core clinical and administrative functions to determine conformance to applicable standards. In addition to standards for service delivery, CARF has robust standards for business practices.

CARF accreditation represents a partnership between CARF and BHN. The survey process is an external peer review conducted by professionals in the field of health and human services that provides us with invaluable feedback and affirms that we demonstrate:

  • A higher degree of internal quality
  • Greater involvement of persons served in their services
  • Increased cohesion among staff members at all levels within the organization
  • Enhanced status of the accredited programs/services within the community

Department of Developmental Services Office of Quality Enhancement License and Certification

BHN's Developmental and Intellectual Disability Services support individuals with intellectual and developmental needs, helping them thrive in our communities. As part of our ongoing commitment to quality, BHN's Residential and Individual Home Supports are licensed and certified by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health & Human Services Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Office of Quality Enhancement (OQE).

The OQE review and certification process sets forth standards that promote quality and responsiveness, tied to the intended outcomes of the service model. This represents a focus for continual quality improvement. The certification process measures BHN's ability to assist individuals to achieve outcomes delineated in the Department's mission statement and regulations. It also provides valuable information regarding the quality of our supports. The information generated from the certification process enables BHN to continually enhance our supports, while helping individuals and families to be more informed of our service delivery.
