RESPONSIBILITIES:

BHN’s Westfield Residential Program serving adults with mental health and medical concerns needs FT Residential Coordinator. The focus of this position is strong team leadership and the development of behavioral treatment plans in consultation with a Staff Psychologist. This downtown Westfield site serves 5 individuals who are working on independent living skills and community integration.  Duties also include staff supervision, scheduling, IAP implementation, and liaison with other providers, families, and DMH. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in social work, psychology or related field with Applied Behavioral Analysis experience and some supervisory experience required.

Assistant Program Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Great opportunity to provide clinical leadership to Forensic staff within a jail setting. This position will oversee the provision, development, and quality services delivered to offenders. Duties will include providing clinical supervision to professional staff, assisting in the management and development of policies and procedures, overseeing the daily operation of the Evaluation and Stabilization Unit and providing direct clinical services. The Evaluation and Stabilization Unit is an 8 bed unit for offenders who are psychiatrically decompensated.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in a clinical mental health discipline and independent licensure required.

Behavior Management Therapist

JOB TITLE: Behavior Management Therapist

SCHEDULED HOURS: FFS up to 40 hours

SCHEDULE / SHIFT: Monday – Friday, possible weekends; hours will vary depending on families’ needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

BHN currently seeks a Behavior Management Therapist to work full-time, part-time or fee-for-service with youth who exhibit challenging behaviors in their home environments. The Behavior Management Therapist works as a part of a treatment team conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments in family homes culminating in written Behavior Intervention Plans to be implemented by parents/caregivers. The Behavior Management Therapist assists family members and members of the treatment team in learning to implement behavioral interventions and along with a Behavior Management Monitor participates in coaching families on implementation and revises plans as needed for individual youth and family success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified candidates will be: A Master’s-level practitioner (or above) in a relevant specialty AND meet any one of the following criteria:

  • Certified in Applied Behavioral Analysis (BCBA); OR
  • Enrolled in an ABA training program and eligible for certification within nine months; OR
  • A clinical psychologist with experience; OR
  • A master’s-level mental health clinician working under the supervision of an ABA-Certified clinician (BCBA); OR
  • A master’s-level mental health clinician with 2 years experience performing functional behavioral assessments and implementing and evaluating intervention strategies who is familiar with applied behavioral analysis and/or positive behavior support

Services may be provided any day of the week, in order to meet the needs of the identified youth and family. Applicants must be over the age of 21, have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Crisis Clinician

JOB TITLE: Crisis Clinician

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Behavioral Health Network Crisis Services is seeking full-time, Masters level clinicians to work 2nd shift.  Clinicians will perform Mobile Crisis Intervention services for youth and families as well as Emergency Services for adults.  Services are provided on a mobile basis in homes and community based settings as well as in emergency departments throughout the Southern Pioneer Valley.   Clinicians will provide intervention and assessment of those experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis as well as referrals to appropriate services and resources in the community.

Detoxification Counselor

Early Childhood Clinician

JOB TITLE: Early Childhood Clinician

PROGRAM: Child Guidance Clinic

SCHEDULE / SHIFT: Hours/week vary depending on schedule of child, parent and program. Some morning and evening availability will be needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

BHN's Child Guidance Clinic is looking for a Full-Time Early Childhood Clinician. The Clinician will provide mental health screening and consultation for children ages birth - 8 years old, referred through the Department of Early Education and Care Mental Health Consultation grant program. This position will conduct early childhood CANS assessment with child (ages 3 and up) and parent, conduct teacher interview and classroom observations, work with teacher/ director and parent to develop a plan for social, emotional, behavioral support for the child at home, school and community and facilitate referrals to appropriate other programs/ service providers. The Clinician will also be responsible for providing psychotherapy services to a small case load of referred children. Services will be provided at the child care center, clinic and/or home as appropriate. Parent will be included as a regular and integral member of treatment. Complete all required clinical documentation, participate in weekly supervision and program team meeting, submit weekly accounting of time and activities and complete all screening and report documentation will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have a master’s degree in a third-party approved mental health field.
  • Experience and interest in working with the early childhood population, including children, parents and providers is required.
  • Candidates should have an interest in community outreach and working with complex systems.
  • CANS certification required before start date.
