BHN Community Outreach Programs

BHN is the Greater Springfield Community Service Agency (CSA), a new service developed as part of the state-wide Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative.  The function of the CSA is to facilitate access to, and ensure coordination of care for youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED) who require or are already utilizing multiple services or are involved in multiple child-serving systems (juvenile justice, child welfare, special education, mental health) and their families.

As a CSA, BHN has created many new child-serving and evidence-based programs:

  • Intensive Care Coordination (ICC)
  • Family Support & Training (FS&T)
  • In-Home Therapy (IHT)

In addition to the CSA, BHN provides other Community Outreach programs to individuals and families which include:

  • Community Support Program (CSP)
  • Community Support Program for People Experiencing Chronic Homelessness (CSPECH)
