Community Safety Training
As part of BHN Emergency Services, we offer trainings and consultations to help people manage difficult situations that may occur in the community. Part of personal safety is gaining tools and confidence in knowing that you are prepared. If and when a situation happens, BHN training provides skills to tap into for assessing a situation, intervening in certain conditions, basic de-escalation for low-risk situations, and knowing who to call for help.
BHN provides trainings on suicide and/or risk-to-self and how to respond to a person in this situation. If you live with or interact with a person who experiences frequent emotional disturbances, this training could prove invaluable to you. De-escalation of a potentially self-injurious person and bringing in appropriate help may be one of the most important skills a person can acquire.
